BRAINTREE, Mass. (AP) - Police are investigating after a motorcyclist was severely injured in a four-vehicle crash in the town of Braintree.

WCVB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/22vc9Mh ) a vehicle rear-ended the unidentified motorcyclist on Granite Street by the state Route 3 on-ramp shortly after 5 p.m. Monday. The victim was pinned between two cars. The car in front of the motorcycle was pushed into another vehicle from the impact.

Police say the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries, although they do not appear to be life-threatening. The extent of the injuries is unknown.

The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment.
