OWEGO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 34-year-old woman has died after the motorcycle she was riding on collided with a deer on an upstate New York road.

State police say Tuesday that 35-year-old Justin King of Owego in Tioga county was driving his motorcycle on state Route 17C in his hometown around 9 p.m. Monday when he hit the deer and crashed.

Troopers say his wife, Tonya, was his passenger. She was taken to in Robert Packard Hospital in nearby Sayre, Pennsylvania, where she died from head injuries.

Police say her husband was treated for multiple minor injuries. Troopers say both were wearing helmets.
