MORETOWN, Vt. (AP) - A passenger in a pickup truck has died in a crash in Moretown, Vermont, and the driver has been charged with driving under the influence.

State police said the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. Monday on Lynch Hill Road. A 911 call said one person was unconscious. Attempts to revive 23-year-old Justin Weston, of Montpelier, failed and he died at the scene.

The driver, 23-year-old Justin Humphrey, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to driving under the influence with death resulting and was released on conditions.

The crash was under investigation.

This story has been corrected to show Weston was 23 and Humphrey is 23, not 26.
