BEND, Ore. (AP) - Prescribed burns will begin Tuesday in Bend.

The Bulletin reports (https://bit.ly/1WWQAEB) the first burn will cover 82 acres in the Tree Farm neighborhood.

People are advised to close windows and doors during the burn and in the evening.

The plan includes 700 acres in Shevlin Park, the Tree Farm neighborhood and nearby national forest lands.

It will take several years to complete.
