PEETZ, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a tornado that touched down on Colorado’s Eastern Plains destroyed a barn and ripped the front door off a home.

The National Weather Service says the tornado was reportedly on the ground for about 13 minutes Monday afternoon near the town of Peetz, not far from the Nebraska border. Some other funnel clouds were also reported but the weather service hasn’t confirmed whether any of those touched down yet.

After seeing the tornado developing, farmer Zach Wood captured video showing the twister tear apart the barn and send the debris spiraling through the air. From afar, the remains of the barn resembled a giant flock of birds.

Power poles in the area were also damaged, knocking out power. No injuries were reported.
