JACKSON, Mich. (AP) - Three siblings in their 90s are once again living under the same roof at a senior living center in Jackson.

Jeanne Curran, Shirley Chesney and Philip O’Neil have been together for a year-and-a-half at the Arbor North Living Center. They each live in their own apartments, but they still spend a lot of time together, the Jackson Citizen Patriot (https://bit.ly/1XLSRRW ) reported.

“We all live differently in different apartments. We get together often, though. We see one another,” Curran said. “It’s nice we’re together, but we live differently so we don’t get on another’s nerves.”

Employees at Arbor North said the three are very active and frequently participate in evening programs, dinners, music and other activities offered by the center.

“They’re always looking out for each other,” said Community Enrichment Coordinator Becky Gillmore. “They make sure they save a spot by each other or they’re asking where the other person is or scooting over to make room for each other.”

Activity Director Candy Corser said the bond shared by the siblings, especially at their age, isn’t very common.

“The O’Neil family, they’re a neat family. And to have three of them here, you don’t find that very much,” Corser said. “It’s very special. They’re good people.”

The siblings recall playing kick the can outside of their Jackson home, trying to get out of helping their mother can tomatoes and taking the streetcar to picnics at Vandercook Lake.

The siblings said there have been numerous people in their family who lived into their 90s.The center’s employees credit the siblings’ longevity to their daily exercise regimens, and the siblings credit the healthy food they were served as children.

“Life has been good to us,” Curran said.
