SOUTH ROYALTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Law School President Marc Mihaly plans to step down from that post in about 13 months to return to teaching at the school.

The 70-year-old Mihaly says he wants more time with his family and to strike a better work-life balance.

Mihaly will finish up a five-year contract as president and step down in July of next year.

He came to the private, unaffiliated law school in South Royalton in 2004. He served as acting associate dean of environmental programs and director of the Environmental Law Center before stepping up to be president and dean in 2012.
