FLINT, Mich. (AP) - A ceremony is planned to dedicate a historical marker at Applewood Estate in Flint, the family home of automotive pioneer Charles Stewart Mott.

It will be put on display Thursday afternoon in celebration of the estate’s 100th anniversary.

The program will be held on Applewood’s grand opening day, when public tours will be welcomed for the first time inside the historic house.

The Ruth Mott Foundation owns and operates the estate. Foundation officials and members of the Michigan Historical Commission will attend.
