LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say the Las Vegas Strip was closed while officers investigated a multi-vehicle crash with at least one person injured near the Caesars Palace resort.

Police Officer Jesse Roybal says the crash happened about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Clark County Fire Capt. John Steinbeck says paramedics reported one person was taken to a hospital with injuries.

Steinbeck said about four vehicles appeared to have been involved.

Roybal says northbound traffic was diverted at Flamingo Road, and southbound traffic was blocked in front of Caesars.
