WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - An alleged assault outside of a Williston business led to the arrest of five people on drug and other charges.

The Williston Herald reports (https://bit.ly/21wGqd7 ) that John Cameron Jr. is accused of using a device “similar to brass knuckles” to attack a man in a Wal-Mart parking lot last week. The man needed stiches on his head.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the incident that led to searches of two residences that police say turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Cameron faces a felony aggravated assault charge along with drug charges. He could face up to 16 years in prison if convicted. Court documents don’t list an attorney for him, and a home telephone listing couldn’t be found.

Four others face charges ranging from conspiracy to drug possession.
