CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - An addiction recovery center has been approved to open in Concord.

The Concord Monitor reports (https://bit.ly/1SR5K8i ) the city’s zoning board on Wednesday gave permission to Hope for New Hampshire Recovery to operate at South State Street.

The nonprofit started about two years ago to help people continue their recovery from addictions to drugs or alcohol. It has locations in Manchester and Newport.

The organization doesn’t provide medical treatment. Chairwoman Cheryl Coletti-Lawson says it’s designed to connect people struggling with addiction and their families to available resources.

The board set restrictions on operating hours. Coletti-Lawson gave the board a tentative schedule with meetings from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A schedule hasn’t been set for the weekends.
