CLEVELAND (AP) - Eleven teenage boys suspected of involvement with a street gang that randomly attacked and robbed people in Cleveland and its suburbs have been charged with more than 150 counts in all.
Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County prosecutors said Wednesday the teens, ranging in age between 15 and 17, are part of the OTZ, or Only the Zone gang.
The charges filed in Juvenile Court stem from 30 incidents between early December and late march. Charges include participation in a criminal gang, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and grand theft motor vehicle.
Prosecutors expect more charges to be filed as their investigation continues.
Nine boys are in custody. Prosecutors say one suspect is believed to be in another state and another is at-large in Cleveland.
