LOCKPORT, La. (AP) - Bollinger Shipyards will build 26 Sentinel-class fast-response cutters for the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Lockport-based company said Wednesday it was awarded a new contract to build Phase II of the ships - the newest generation of patrol cutters.

A news release says the new boats will replace ones that Bollinger built more than 30 years ago.
