RIVERTON, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a light-rail train in southern New Jersey struck a car on the tracks, leaving four people with non-life threatening injuries.

New Jersey Transit spokesman Jim Smith said the RiverLine train traveling southbound struck the car in Riverton Thursday morning around 10:15.

He says two people in the car and two people on the train were taken to area hospitals.

Fire officials removed the roof of the car to get to the injured driver and passenger.

Service between Palmyra and Cinnaminson was restored Thursday afternoon on the train line that runs between Camden and Trenton.
