DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Police in Durham say a man wounded in a double shooting in April has been charged with murder in the death of the other person involved in the incident.

A statement from police spokeswoman Kammie Michael on Thursday said 20-year-old Ladaren Deshawn Parker of Durham was taken into custody after he was released from a hospital.

Authorities say 27-year-old J’Corey Terrell Bailey was dead when officers found him in a yard at a home on April 25. At the time of the shooting, investigators said they did not think Bailey’s slaying was a random shooting, and they confirmed Thursday that the men knew each other.

The investigators have not said what they think sparked the gunfight.
