NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City woman will spend 25 years to life in prison for what a prosecutor calls the especially brutal killing of her boyfriend in 2012.
Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown says 42-year-old Anna Adams was sentenced Wednesday for second-degree murder and other crimes.
Jeffrey Perkins was stabbed in the neck, back and head. His remains were partially wrapped in bed sheets and then doused with bleach.
Brown says there were blood trails throughout the house and even outdoors.
When the defendant was taken into custody she was wearing just one shoe. The prosecutor says a matching shoe was found under the victim’s body.
