SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is heading to West Virginia for more campaign events.

The Vermont senator’s campaign site says Sanders will be at the South Charleston Community Center on Thursday afternoon. His Morgantown rally will take place at the Waterfront Place Hotel on Thursday evening.

He’ll be in McDowell County that morning for an invitation-only round-table.

Sanders held a rally last week in Huntington.

His primary opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, stopped throughout Appalachia this week, including a visit to Williamson on Monday and Charleston on Tuesday.

Sanders faces long odds to the nomination. He says he will campaign until the final primary in the District of Columbia in mid-June.

West Virginia’s primary election is May 10.
