MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Police are investigating whether a robbery at a convenience store in Surrey is related to two robberies in nearby Minot.

Authorities say a person wearing a red scarf and wielding a knife held up Barry’s Food and Fuel in Surrey about 10 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt.

The Minot Daily News reports that surveillance video footage wasn’t clear enough to determine for certain whether the person was a man or a woman.

Minot police are investigating two armed robbery attempts in about two hours early Tuesday, by a male who also was wearing a red scarf and brandishing a knife. The suspect targeted a motel and a convenience store. No injuries were reported in either incident.
