REHOBOTH, Mass. (AP) - A former public safety dispatcher who was severely injured in a fire at her Massachusetts home in January has died from her injuries.

Rehoboth police say 43-year-old Allyson Chemelowski died after suffering burns over her entire body in the Jan. 9 fire. Investigators say the accidental fire was caused by smoking materials and originated on the living room sofa.

Police say Chemelowski was one of their best dispatchers and served for many years.
