YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - A Yuma teenager has been arrested after allegedly saying on social media he would bring a gun to school.

Yuma police say the 15-year-old boy is accused of writing on Facebook that he would “shoot up” Yuma High School if his post got a “like.”

Authorities say he made the post around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

A concerned parent reported the posting to police.

An officer was dispatched to the teen’s home.

Investigators say the student admitted to posting the message but said that it wasn’t intended to be serious.

He also said that he had since deleted it.

Police, however, arrested him for interference or disruption of an educational institution with a threat to injure employees or students.

The boy was booked into a juvenile detention facility.
