DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say two people have been hurt after shots were fired into a car on Interstate 94 in Detroit, leaving part of the freeway closed for several hours.

Police say the male driver was shot multiple times and female passenger was cut by flying glass early Friday afternoon on I-94 near the Lodge Freeway. Both were taken to a hospital, where the man is in critical condition and the woman is in good condition.

Investigators say the shooting wasn’t random and likely stemmed from a dispute. They are looking for the suspect.

The freeway between the Lodge and Interstate 75 reopened in the late afternoon.
