NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) - Three Woodbridge police officers are facing misconduct charges for allegedly trying to cover up a single-vehicle crash caused by one of them.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey announced an indictment Friday against 33-year-old Brian Joseph of Perth Amboy, 31-year-old David Hughes of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge and 30-year-old Amanda Felicies of the Fords section of Woodbridge.

They face two counts of official misconduct and a related conspiracy count.

Hughes also is charged with falsifying and tampering with public records and Felicies is charged with lying under oath

They are charged in connection with an incident last May in which Joseph crashed his Mitsubishi SUV while off-duty.

It was not immediately known if any of the three had retained lawyers who could comment on the charges.
