JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Dozens of mourners have gathered in New Jersey at the spot where a father of eight was shot to death.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/1QTIgwX ) Hudson County prosecutors say police found 32-year-old Tyheem Williams lying in the street early Thursday in Jersey City. Williams, who had apparently been shot on his upper body, died at the scene.

A bottle of liquor was placed at the makeshift memorial Thursday afternoon and balloons with letters reading “Pop” were tied to a fence. Candles were lit and white T-shirts hung on a fence with messages written on them.

Raquel Glover, the mother of four of Williams’ children, says he is a good person who loved his kids “no matter what his lifestyle was.”

Prosecutors say no arrests have been made.
