OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Former Omaha guard Tyler Bullock is returning to the Mavericks as an assistant coach.

Head coach Derrin Hansen announced Friday that Bullock would join the staff after spending the last two seasons as an assistant at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa.

Bullock was Omaha’s director of men’s basketball operations from 2012-14. Before that Bullock played minor-league professional basketball.

Bullock was a two-time All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first-team selection in 2010-11. In 2009-10, he led the Mavericks to a conference championship and an NCAA Division II Tournament berth.
