CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The National Weather Service has posted flood and flash flood watches for central and southeast Wyoming.

Heavy rain is forecast in the areas on Saturday, with as much as 4 inches possible through the weekend.

The watch areas include Cheyenne, Riverton, Lander, Laramie, Wheatland and Torrington.

Combined with melting snow, small streams and creeks could see rapid rises.

In addition, a winter storm warning is in effect for the Wind River and Absaroka mountain ranges in central and western Wyoming where up to 30 inches of snow is possible.
