DENVER (AP) - A jury has convicted a man in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy outside of an Aurora apartment complex.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/IVorqW ) 18-year-old James Jason Tobias Lee was found guilty Tuesday of reckless manslaughter, attempted reckless manslaughter and third-degree assault stemming from the Sept. 2 slaying of Marcell Jay Johnson. Lee is scheduled to be sentenced July 29.

Johnson was shot in the chest outside of the Fitzsimons Place apartments. A 17-year-old boy also was shot in the arm.

Shavonne Hogue, who lived in the building, told The Post after the teen was killed that she heard gunfire and kids screaming before finding him sprawled on the sidewalk with a wound to his chest. Her friend performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
