BANGOR, Maine (AP) - The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says it has arrested two people after an investigation into the distribution of a significant amount of oxycodone from a Bangor motel room.

Police say they seized 260 oxycodone pills with a street value of $8,000 and $40,000 from the room on Thursday.

Police arrested 25-year-old Steve Abreu of New York City and 32-year-old Meredith Perrone of Veazie and changed them with trafficking.

Perrone and Abreu are expected to appear in court on Friday. It was unclear if they had hired attorneys. Abreu’s bail was set at $70,000 and Perrone’s was set at $25,000.
