PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police in Philadelphia say two suspects are in custody and a third is being sought over a violent assault on two school police officers earlier this week.

Police announced Friday that 19-year-old Roger Millington and a juvenile who wasn’t identified are both charged with aggravated assault and other offenses.

Two school police officers were injured Monday afternoon when they tried to break up a fight near Philadelphia’s Northeast High School. One was left with a broken jaw.

School district officials say some students were waiting at a bus stop when they were confronted by three men. The school police officers patrolling the area saw what was happening and moved to intervene, and they were attacked.

Millington’s court-appointed attorney says he’s unable to comment on the charges.
