ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A body found near a golf course has been identified as a man reported missing by Albuquerque police earlier this week.

Police say children found the body lying next to a chain-link fence Wednesday near Ladera Golf Course.

It’s now been identified by the Office of the Medical Investigator as 39-year-old Lee Rowland.

Police say preliminary results don’t indicate foul play but an exact cause of death hasn’t been determined and more tests are necessary.

Rowland was reported missing Monday by police, who said at the time that he was last seen at home around 8 p.m. last Saturday.

Police say Rowland suffered from a medical condition that may have left him disoriented.
