BELTSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Maryland authorities are still searching for a man they say fatally shot his estranged wife while she waited outside a Washington-area school.

Prince George’s County police are looking for 62-year-old Eulalio Tordil of Adelphi. Police say he followed 44-year-old Gladys Tordil, a chemistry teacher, to their children’s school and shot her Thursday.

Tordil is an employee of the Federal Protective Service, which provides security at federal properties. Police say he also shot and wounded a man who tried to intervene. That man is expected to survive the shooting outside Beltsville’s High Point High School.

The Federal Protective Service says Tordil was put on administrative duties in March after a protective order was issued against him. His duty weapon, badge, and credentials were taken. He was subsequently placed on administrative leave.
