LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - A West Texas judge has issued a gag order in the case of a pregnant, mentally disabled teen found slain with her uterus removed.

District Judge John McClendon III signed the order Wednesday in Lubbock, blocking public release of any information related to investigation. The order applies to anyone involved in the case, including law enforcement, attorneys and the medical examiner’s office.

The remains of an 18-year-old were found in February in her family’s partially burned home in Idalou. An arrest warrant says the victim told a school worker that her stepfather impregnated her.

Her mother was jailed on allegations she knew her husband was abusing her daughter and didn’t act. The victim’s stepfather is charged with sexually abusing the victim’s 15-year-old sister.

Authorities say more charges are expected.
