DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A criminal defense lawyer and former public defender has been disbarred over allegations that she had intimate relationships with clients and used illegal drugs.

Media outlets report the Florida Bar announced Friday that 43-year-old Linda Hadad has been disbarred. Hadad was questioned at length by the Florida Bar last year. Since then, she was arrested four times for driving without a license and fleeing from police.

According to Florida Bar documents, Hadad admitted to using several drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy and crystal meth. She allegedly used her credit card to rent a vehicle for a man who repaid her with prescription pills and other drugs.

Records also say Hadad admitted to using her attorney access at the Volusia County Jail to have personal visits with two inmates, Steven Sullivan and Brandon Carson.

It’s unclear if Hadad has an attorney.
