EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - There’s a family photo of the Smith triplets wearing Michigan State University onesies. Twenty-two years later, they’re wearing green gowns as Michigan State graduates.

Matt, Jake and Chris Smith of Midland graduated Saturday with degrees from MSU’s Broad College of Business. They lived in the same dorm and later moved into an off-campus house together.

Their parents are MSU graduates, and a grandmother worked in the athletic department.

Matt Smith tells the Detroit Free Press (https://on.freep.com/1UHCENd ) there were more “benefits than drawbacks” to attending college with his brothers. They took many classes together and always had a study partner.

Their mom, Cassie Smith, says she has “three times the emotions” and “three times the memories.”
