JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for fatally shooting another man at a topless bar.

The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/ySNDKk ) reports that 33-year-old Stanley Kelvin Merriweather was sentenced Friday. He pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder.

Prosecutors say Merriweather got into an argument over money with a dancer at Mascara’s Gentlemen’s Club in October 2012. Officials say 30-year-old Glenn Adams intervened, and Merriweather shot the other man in the chest.
