HARRISON, N.J. (AP) - The New York Red Bulls have waived defender Zach Carroll.

The Major League Soccer club announced the move on Saturday.

Carroll was selected in the second round of this year’s draft and signed to a contract on March 3. The former Michigan State product made five appearances while on loan to the New York Red Bulls II in the United Soccer League.

The Red Bulls also announced it had lent defender Karl Ouimette and goalkeeper Kyle Reynish to the New York Red Bulls II.
