SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Police have released the name of a man found dead at a Sparks motel.

KRNV-TV reported (https://bit.ly/273h0I2) Friday that authorities identified the homicide victim as 60-year-old Joseph Christiansen, of Sparks.

Investigators say 32-year-old Michael Carmazzi faces one count of first-degree murder in connection with the killing.

According to police, officers were called about a body in a motel room Tuesday.

They found Christiansen and pronounced him dead.

Police have not given a cause of death or any details about Christiansen’s injuries.

It was not immediately clear Saturday if Carmazzi had an attorney.
