TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A Trenton man who allegedly took his ex-girlfriend’s 3-year-old daughter from her apartment and refused to return the child has been charged with kidnapping.

David Fink also faces a child endangerment charge stemming from Friday night’s incident. Authorities say the 30-year-old Fink is not the father of the child, who was not harmed.

Authorities say the girl’s mother approached police officers at a convenience store and told them what had happened. The woman said she had repeatedly called Fink without success and didn’t know where her daughter was.

Police eventually found Fink, the child and a 45-year-old woman at a city home about two hours later. The child was reunited with her mother a short time later.

It wasn’t known Saturday if Fink has retained an attorney.
