DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Smoke coming from a northern Minnesota wildfire is rolling south through Iowa.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/24AQdnK ) that smoke will leave a cloud over Iowa on Saturday.

The National Weather Service says the smoke will likely cause a significant decline in air quality and may result in difficulty breathing. Those with asthma or other respiratory problems could particularly be affected. Visibility also could be restricted.

Weather service meteorologist Rod Donavon says the plume is expected to keep moving south and will dissipate later Saturday afternoon.
