ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - In a story May 8 about a body found in Lake Powell, The Associated Press reported erroneously the name of the victim’s hometown in Montana. He’s from Lewistown, not Lewiston.

A corrected version of the story is below:

Body of Montana man pulled from Lake Powell

Search teams have recovered the body of a Montana man in Lake Powell

ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - Search teams have recovered the body of a Montana man in Lake Powell.

Authorities said Saturday that Utah Department of Public Safety divers located the body of 51-year-old Allen Robert Delay.

He was found late Friday near Lone Rock Beach in the Kane County portion of Wahweap Bay.

His body was transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office in Salt Lake City.

Investigators say Delay, of Lewistown, Montana, was camping with his wife Thursday.

Delay took an inflatable kayak onto the lake.

Officials say strong winds pushed him overboard and he was not wearing a life jacket.

He was seen in distress and then did not resurface from underwater.
