BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Builders in Bismarck-Mandan expect recent years’ drop in the number of homes built to level off.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1WbgfsD ) that the number of homes built in Bismarck-Mandan decreased about 20 to 25 percent from 2013 to 2014. The same was true from 2014 to 2015.

Statistics gathered by the Bismarck-Mandan Homebuilders Association show that 48 single family homes have been permitted in Bismarck-Mandan through March, thanks in part to a warm spring. That number is similar to the 37 permitted during the same time period in 2015.

Chad Moldenhauer of K&L Homes says the area is back to 2011 or 2012 levels, in which it’s not as frenzied a pace.
