HINSDALE, N.H. (AP) - In a story May 8 about bald eagles in New Hampshire and Vermont, The Associated Press reported that thousands of the birds are killed by wind turbines nationwide. The figure is cited by some birding groups, but the story should have noted that the American Wind Energy Association disputes the number and says that far fewer are killed.
