RADFORD, Va. (AP) - Two Radford day care workers have been accused of mistreating three children.

The Radford Police Department said in a news release that 39-year-old Charlotte D. Hall, of Christianburg, and 40-year-old Kimberly D. Albert, of Parrott, were arrested Friday.

Citing a warrant, The Roanoke Times (https://bit.ly/1T6V3AE ) reports the investigation was spurred by a complaint to the city’s social services department that, over the past several months, children at the Radford Adventure Club had been “mistreated, inadequately cared for, and inappropriately disciplined.”

Hall is charged with six counts of assault and battery of a child and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Albert is charged with two counts of obstruction of justice. It is unclear whether they have attorneys.

Authorities did not release details regarding the charges.
