SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (AP) - Police say Bay Area Rapid Transit trains are recovering from delays after a man entered a station with a fake gun.

The East Bay Times reports (https://bit.ly/1Wibei8 ) that officers had responded Sunday afternoon to a report from a Bay Fair station agent about a man with a gun. BART police Lt. Paul Kwon says the man identified as 21-year-old Erick Winston was arrested after entering the station with what appeared to be a handgun tucked into his waistband.

Officers had closed the station while they located the suspect and took him into custody.

Winston faces charges of violating probation and possession of a replica firearm.

Kwon says trains were delayed up to 17 minutes after the incident.
