GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Grand Forks police say a bomb squad recovered explosives from an apartment after officers responded to an accidental shooting over the weekend.

Authorities say a man fired a gun through the floor of an apartment about 5:30 a.m. Saturday. No one was hurt, but officers who obtained a search warrant for the apartment called in a bomb squad when they found “concerning” items.

Police Lt. Bill Macki tells WDAZ-TV (https://bit.ly/1XhlRRS ) that the bomb squad seized several items that were determined to be explosive in nature.

A 32-year-old man was arrested. Formal charges weren’t immediately filed.
