GLENDORA, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County authorities say two hikers who spent a chilly night lost in the San Gabriel Mountains have been found in good condition by rescuers.

Sheriff’s officials say the hikers - a 35-year-old woman and 51-year-old diabetic man - lost cell service shortly after calling authorities Sunday evening to say they were lost near Rattlesnake Peak.

City News Service says crews searched through the night on foot because cloud cover kept helicopters grounded.

Searchers carrying medical supplies crawled through brush to reach the hikers around 4:30 a.m Monday above Glendora.

Temperatures in the mountains dipped into the 40s overnight.
