LEVITTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - A man is under arrest after allegedly attacking two women after breaking into their Long Island homes.

Nassau police say the incidents occurred about 30 minutes apart.

Police say the suspect, Rory Walsh, first entered a Levittown home at 1:25 a.m. Sunday through a rear door.

Police say he because “agitated” and attempted to leave in the woman’s car. When she tried to stop him, police say Walsh grabbed her hair and choked her. The woman managed to get out and ran into the house.

Thirty minutes later, police say Walsh broke the front window of a Massapequa home where he pushed a woman, causing injury to her arm.

Police arrested Walsh on charges including menacing, assault, burglary, grand larceny.

It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
