NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old Tulane graduate.

Several news outlets reports Thomas Rolfes was in New Orleans to find a venue for his wedding next year to his fiancé, Elizabeth Fried.

Police said in a news release a man’s body was found early Saturday morning intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Amelia Street. Police said the victim had been shot in the chest and died at the scene.

Fried told The New Orleans Advocate and WDSU TV she hoped that someone would be able to fit more pieces of the puzzle together and help find the person who killed her fiancé.

Fried said Rolfes was last seen at a popular bar at Magazine Street.

She said Rolfes graduated in 2011 from Tulane and was a project engineer for a construction company.
