HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police arrested a 17-year-old Windsor boy over the weekend in connection with the allegedly retaliatory shooting of another teen last week in Hartford.
The unidentified suspect, who is considered a minor, was arrested Sunday and charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and other related firearms offenses.
The charges stem from the May 4 shooting of a 15-year-old boy on Mather Street. Police say the shooting occurred after the victim reportedly threw a brick at a black sedan containing the suspect.
The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck. He was rushed to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where he’s listed in serious condition.
An arrest warrant for the suspect was issued Friday after police recovered the car on Barbour Street.
