MONTICELLO, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the slaying of a 32-year-old man in an upstate New York village.

Police in Monticello in Sullivan County tell the Times Herald-Record of Middletown (https://bit.ly/1rKjKJR ) that the victim is a 32-year-old resident of the village who was killed late Sunday night.

Officials aren’t releasing his name or how he died.

Village police are being assisted in the investigation by state police, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the county district attorney’s office.
