YOUNGWOOD, Pa. (AP) - State police released three adult victims’ names as they investigated how and why a pickup truck rear-ended a car carrying a family of four, all who were critically injured.

Troopers from Greensburg say the pickup driver in Sunday morning’s crash in Youngwood is 24-year-old Matthew Murphy, of Scottdale.

Youngwood Fire Chief Lloyd Crago tells reporters both cars were northbound on Route 119. Police on Monday say 33-year-old William Schuler, 29-year-old Victoria Schuler, and their boys, ages 1 and 2, were badly injured and flown to Pittsburgh hospitals.

Murphy’s pickup continued on, hitting several parked vehicles in a supermarket parking lot before stopping about 10:20 a.m.

Police aren’t saying whether Murphy will be charged or cited. He was also critically injured.

The victims were flown to Pittsburgh hospitals.
